WebNov 1, 2024 · The Boy Scouts of America has officially released the requirements for its new "Citizenship in Society" merit badge, the evolution of the diversity, equity and inclusion badge that the BSA promised to create in the summer of 2024. The requirements for the badge are available here, and the counselor guidelines are available here. WebNov 16, 2024 · Diversity, Equity and Inclusion merit badge Update, October 1, 2024: The badge will be known as CItizenship in Society. Release date is expected sometime in November. Requirements are still being formulated. It is expected that counselors will be required to complete the BSA’s Diversity training.Â
