The park covers an area of 229 square miles (593 square kilometers). Its main feature is Zion Canyon. Geography Zion Canyon is about 15 miles (25 kilometers) long and 2,000 to 3,000 feet (600 to 900 meters) deep. WebJun 24, 2024 · The highlight of Zion National Park is an expansive canyon. Averaging 2,000 feet deep, Zion Canyon offers hiking opportunities along its floor in the 20 to 30 foot wide area known as The Narrows and the challenging area known as The Subway.
